  1. Diwali 2011

November 6, 2011 by Sunit Nandi

So finally Diwali came and went. It wasn’t a very significant one but I still enjoyed it. Here are some pics I like to share. Well, something my dad did really interesting was he made an N-shape out of the sparklers, signifying the Nandi Family. And to top it all, we saw few Kali Puja pandals.

So what did you do this Diwali?

My XII boards are approaching, so I will be spending less time online. I will be going full steam with studies soon.

Right now I am upgrading to Ubuntu to 11.10. Lets see what new changes have come. Just 20 mins left.

    Anyway, will write again soon.

  2. Durga Puja 2011

October 9, 2011 by Sunit Nandi

Hello guys, I am writing after quite some time. You might be thinking where I had disappeared. Well, our UNI.CC domain name provider just vanished into thin air, leaving our site unreachable. So I had signed up with www.tk and got a new domain for our site. IMPORTANT NOTE: Our site will be available from now on at http://nandi.tk/ and my blog at http://sunit.nandi.tk/.

So, I am coming back to the main topic, that is Durga Puja at Guwahati.

Saptami: This day we went to see the Puja pandals on the highway, Ganeshguri, Dispur and Khanapara. A crowd had collected making it even more fun. Also we did shopping at NE trade Expo (Maniram Dewan) and Pantaloons

Ashtami: On this day, we went to see pandals at Kahilipara, AT Road, Panbazar, Paltan Bazar, Manipuri basti and Latashil.

Navami: We concentrated on the Adabari, Pandu port and Maligaon area.

Dashami: Stayed at home. Tired. 😛

So it was a wonderful puja this year, with lots of pandals visited. And so I had great fun with mom and dad.

I uploaded the photos to the Photo Albums. Click this link to see it. If you are seeing this post on Facebook, just check my profile.

Also I had uploaded the Teachers’ Day celebrations at school long back. But this site was down then. So I am posting it now.

So far so good. Will write again soon! Have a great time!

  3. Summer holidays are back, but for the last time

July 7, 2011 by Sunit Nandi

So finally July, and the summer/rainy season holidays are back again. This is gonna be my last one, because I will be leaving school next year. Makes me nostalgic to think of it. :O 🙂

Not much of an activity is taking place, only studies for the upcoming board exams are going on.

Btw, the fun part is that we had Aikyataan before the holidays. In case you don’t know what it is, it is the inter-house competitions held at our school. It has pretty good number of events like dances, songs, debates, extempore speeches, etc etc.

I wish to share some pics of it. Here is the link to that album.

Also here are some video of it, I have made a playlist out of it.

Also, as I have earlied mentioned that I would post, here are videos of KK’s concert in Alcheringa 2011 at IIT Guwahati.

So this much for today. Hope you have fun watching the pics and videos.

    Have a wonderful day!

  4. Happy Bhogali Bihu to all my Assamese friends

January 16, 2011 by Sunit Nandi

Happy Bihu, my dear friends. You guys must be feasting a lot, I guess. Well, dunno what’s the trouble, I am having stomach trouble for the past 15 days. No feasting, only running to the toilet. 😛 Dunno how long it’ll take to be ok.

As far as everything tech goes, I abandoned HTC Tattoo for the Nokia C7. Everything works fine now. Thanks to its N-Gage option, I played NFS Shift, Asphalt 5 and Sims 3. Also, I completed playing the game Gangstar 3: Miami Vindication. Hopefully, I will complete the others too and go hunting for newer ones like NFS Hot Pursuit.

I just hope my tummy gets ok, so I stop playing and start eating instead.

  5. So how’s your Christmas gonna be?

December 20, 2010 by Sunit Nandi

Hello everyone. I am very happy today! Its Christmas holidays going on.

On Saturday, our school organised its biennial cultural programme. Being an awardee, I was one of the guests there. Also, the performances were very nice, especially the dances and the drama on Indian Freedom struggle.

I am trying my best to upload the videos to YouTube. It will take some time because my capture card isn’t working and my dad is going to buy a new one.

Well, I dunno what my Christmas is gonna be cuz I am having exams at Brilliant Tutorials on 26th. 🙁 Hopefully, I might have a free new year. 🙂

  6. Hmm… how do I fix this?

November 18, 2010 by Sunit Nandi

Looks like I am having a little bit of trouble doing something on my Android phone. I have got a proxy setting app. But it doesnt work because we guys do not have direct access to DNS servers nor have a DNS proxy. Hope someone has a fix for this. Please help me by commenting here.

BTW, I am making the video of our Durga Puja celebrations. I captured the video of our camera to our PC. But the size of the video is 1.15 GB for 40 mins. Which video editor should I use that will use MPEG 4 as output format to save space? Please help me.

  7. Nice Diwali

November 7, 2010 by Sunit Nandi

So friends, I had a very nice Diwali this year. We had lots of fun setting the lights and enjoying the fireworks.

Today, I am gonna be a bit busy uploading the photos for you to see! 🙂

  8. Remembering Chatsworth

October 14, 2010 by Sunit Nandi

So my exams are finally over.

I set out to upload the only videos that I had of my time of Chatsworth International School. See them below.

This is the play on Ancient Egypt performed by me and my friends, when we were in Year 4. (In the year 2003).

This is the chorus that we sang after the play.

It was a nice time remembering those childhood moments again. We spent a month preparing for this play and it turned out to be a success. Watch the videos and you will know about it yourself.

Stay tuned as it is the season for Durga Puja. More nice stuff coming up!

Hey friends and readers, I wish you all a happy Diwali. Hope you all have a nice time enjoying with your loved ones.

Well, my Diwali holidays have come up but I have been taken down by viral fever. I hope to get well soon so that I can enjoy myself.

Also, the Nandi Family site has been recreated with razorCMS to ease content creation and for better looks. Hope you all will like to have a sneak-peek at the site on nandi.uni.cc.
