My friend Shravya starts off her blog

17 September, 2013 by Sunit Nandi

What came as a pleasant surprise today, was the launch of a new personal blog by my friend Shravya Gunipudi. She is well-known for writing heart-touching short stories on various online magazines. But her blog left me surprised as it was something quite unexpected.

You can view her blog on http://shravyagunipudi.wordpress.com and not surprisingly, it has really good write-ups. I suggest everyone to give her blog a read and give her feedback.

I’m hoping earnestly that, at one point of time, it replaces my practice of reading story books. 😀

  1. The fact that you guys have the CC licensing is awesome!
I love the whole concept of CC.
To be honest, CC will be more useful in Sravya’s Case because she writes stories and stuff, because, anybody can print it for their personal use (like for their kids.) without any copyright suits.
    Just my opinion.

I initially didn’t feel like using CC, because it had loopholes in the system. I was looking for a customized copyright. So I began exploring the options. I didn’t find any suiting my case. Then I realised the amount of blogs using DMCA based copyright even for non-original content, and realised that every copyright provider had awkward loopholes. And I hate DMCA.

So I went to CC and got a license that best suited what I wanted to achieve. And yes, I do feel my works should be available for free distribution to everyone, except commercial and derivative usage. For the latter, you can always ask my permission.

  2. Awww, Sunit!

I just saw this. Thank you 🙂
